Hey Slashers!

We're about to take off for the weekend, but before we do, we wanted to check in with you with an update on a few things.

Survey Status

We are at about 77% complete on backer surveys! Remember, if you haven’t already done your survey, you still have until August 15th to fill these out. For those who pledged to get their name in the rulebook, we need those names in by July 7th, so we can begin the printing and manufacturing process.

Upcoming Important Dates

• July 7th - Rulebook Name must be provided in your survey for final print

NOW… to the fun stuff! 

Since the campaign has been over, we have been working super hard on finalizing design and artwork for the game. And lucky for you here's another preview from the game.

Final Scenes Preview

Since the campaign, we've updated the Final Scenes look to make it better for keeping track during the game of your progress.

Final scenes are the last piece of the puzzle and the final step for Escaping Tall Oaks. They're dealt to you at the beginning of the game face down, but you won't know what your final scene will be until you've rescued five victims and completed all tasks. Once you're ready, you'll flip your card and your final scene / battle will range from Easy (Green), Medium (Yellow), Hard (Orange), and VERY HARD (Red).

That's going to do it for us for this week. We're looking forward to sending off these files in the next couple of weeks and starting manufacturing... and of course, more previews to come.

Survey Status / Missing Surveys

Happy Monday, Slashers!

Since Friday a bunch of you have already gone in and completed your surveys:

For the rest of you, please feel free to take your time, but keep in mind that we want your answers for the rulebook name by July 7th, so we can begin printing/manufacturing. And also, the quicker surveys hit 100% complete the sooner we can place our order for all the other goodies (surveys will be locked as of August 15th if not completed before then).

All BackerKit Invites Sent!

Hey Slashers!

All BackerKit invites/surveys have been sent at this point. Please check your email, and if you don't see it, check your SPAM folder for anything from BackerKit or Mixtape Massacre.

If you do not see your email by Monday morning, please use our support form to contact us and we will assist you in getting your survey.

International Backers - Booster Packs

Disregard yesterdays instructions. We're going to have to wait a couple weeks to add the Booster packs to people who reserved them. Generally special add-ons like this are for certain pledge levels, but since people from all pledge levels have requested them, we will have to manually add them in a couple weeks once everyone has answered their surveys. If you reserved them and no longer want them, just use the our support form to let us know and we'll remove you from the list.

July 7th

If your pledge level includes your name being added to the rulebook, please have that portion of your survey completed by July 7th. We are finalizing print files by then. If you do not complete it by then, your name from Kickstarter will be used. 

Next Update

We'll have another update coming within the week to show off some of the finalized artwork and designs, some of which have been updated since the campaign.

BackerKit Invites Going Out Today

Hey Slashers,

Due to some e-mails from BackerKit going to our spam folders (always check your spam folder) we had a slight delay. We're now ready to begin sending out Backerkit Invites and to open for Pre-Orders. A couple important items below in concerns to Backerkit / surveys / etc:

Invites Being Sent

Invites will start going out this morning. They send them in batches, with the first batch being very small. This is called a SMOKE TEST. It's to make sure everything is working correctly on their end and backers aren't having an issue. Then more batches will start sending, so if you don't immediately receive one today, do not worry, they'll be going out in batches through out the weekend. If by Monday morning you have not received yours, first step, CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER. If it's not in there, please use our support form below to request your link and we will personally send it to you.

Surveys

This will be your first step in BackerKit. It will allow you to provide us your name for the rulebook, your shipping address, shirt sizes, etc. All your items from Kickstarter are pre-loaded to your order. You may want to add more to your order, and you can.

Add-Ons

If you're looking to add more to your order, i.e. t-shirts, pins, the base game, The Black Masque expansion, or Lockdown Expansion, you'll be able to do that once your survey is complete. Please keep in mind as you add items to your orders, shipping costs will rise, due to weight and box sizes. Our estimates only covered the items we offered during the Kickstarter.

NOTE / US Backers: The base game and Black Masque will be back in-stock in July/August. If you wish to grab those items ahead of the release of EFTO and Lockdown, you can grab them from our store when they're back in stock. OTHERWISE, you can add them to your pledge, but these items will only ship when all other rewards ship. We will not be doing multiple shipments for pledge fulfillment. All orders ship as one order. If any delays occur, all rewards will be delayed until everything is ready to be shipped.

International Backers

Booster Packs - we had to change this process. We will manually add this item to your orders once you complete your surveys / order. We're doing this, because a lot of you may not want the additional cost once you get to adding other items, SO... please complete your surveys and add any additional items to your order. Once that's done, if you still want the booster packs, use our SUPPORT form to remind us to add them. (IF YOU DID NOT RESERVE THEM AHEAD OF TIME, YOUR EMAIL WILL BE IGNORED).

Important Dates

Please keep these dates in mind in concerns to Backerkit:

• June 21th - BackerKit and Pre-Orders open / Invites sent out
• July 7th - Rulebook Name must be provided in your survey
• August 15th - BackerKit, Pre-Orders Close
• August 15th - Credit Cards will be charged for shipping and additional items
• Why August 15th? - we need to do an inventory of all rewards like t-shirts, pins, etc, and order them

This also means that until August 15th, you can add or remove items from your order that you've added during the BackerKit process.

RULEBOOK / IMPORTANT / IMPORTANT

July 7th - If you are providing a name for the rulebook, your survey must be completed by July 7th in concerns to the name you want in the rulebook. If we do not have your name by then, we will use the name you provided during Kickstarter.

Changing Addresses After BackerKit Closes

Do not worry!!! If your address changes after August 15th, you can contact us and we will change the address for you. You'll be able to change this address up until we begin shipping in November.

Quick Update - Plastic Samples / Small BackerKit Delay

Hey Slashers,

BackerKit

First up, our Backerkit for some reason is still under review and we're still receiving the above message when we log in. We expected to have sent out our invites by now, but we may be a day or so behind. We've reached out to Backerkit support and they said they should have things in order soon enough. As soon as it's up, we'll send an update letting everyone know we're sending out invites and a reminder of dates and such.

 
Plastics

Until then, we thought we'd show off the plastic samples that just arrived from the manufacturer:

We'll be approving these with our manufacturers so they can start producing the mass quantities for our games.
