Today was a big day!

First we revealed the brand new LOCKDOWN Expansion, and you all did not disappoint with the excitement, with a high percentage of our backers already adding it to their pledge. We also had a wave of new backers also join the campaign, so as always, WELCOME TO TALL OAKS.

In the process, we also unlocked our next stretch goal character, CHRISTINE.

LOCKDOWN EXPANSION Q&A

With the reveal of the new expansion add-on, we're sure you all have a lot of questions about the new items and mechanics. Have questions? Submit them at this link and MJ and Freddie will be recording a video response before the weekend to answer any and all questions from our backers, and we’ll post it right here on the campaign and in an update.  Provide your questions asap.

Lastly, a VERY BIG THANK YOU to all our backers. Today is one of those days that reminds us just how awesome the horror community is, and more importantly, how awesome our fans are. Thank you again from our team for all your support. We're looking forward to showing off more of the game during these last 8 days of the campaign and even more post-Kickstarter.

After a pretty big Tuesday, now we're going for a big Thursday. So here's another fun-big-update :)

LOCKDOWN VIDEO Q&A

First, below we have our Video Q&A for the LOCKDOWN EXPANSION. Thanks to everyone who submitted their questions. In the video we not only cover the LOCKDOWN EXPANSION, but also questions about ESCAPE FROM TALL OAKS. And yes, there is artwork through out the video. We also reveal our two last stretch goals, which we're pretty sure you're all going to be excited about.

Adjusting Your Pledge / Next Stretch Goal

Hey Slashers,

We've been receiving a lot of questions about adjusting your pledges.

We know a lot of you are excited about the new Expansion announcement and are looking to add it to your current pledge, but are also worried about losing your perks. DON'T BE. The two new pledge levels (LOCKDOWN and WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR) cover any perks from your original pledges, and add the expansion to it.

We also know some of you are unaware of how to make the switch/upgrade. Below is a quick tutorial for upgrading your pledge and getting the most bang for your buck.

First, make sure you're logged in when visiting Kickstarter. Go to the Escape from Tall Oaks campaign page. Your screen should look like below once you're logged in.

Click manage pledge and you can adjust  your pledges the following to still get all your recent perks along with the expansion (STRIKE A POSE backers, an expansion is included with your order):

Next Stretch Goal / Art Reveals

It looks like we're about to hit our next stretch goal and unlock CHRISTINE. We'll have a full reveal of art and such for it once that hits, so let's keep it going, Slashers!

Two New Pledge Levels Added / Lockdown Reveal

Strap in. This is going to be a big update ;) 

This next reveal is something the team has been working on as long as EFTO. As we know every time we release a game, fans are immediately asking “what’s next?”

We wanted to make sure, as fans are always “dying” for new content, that we had something waiting in the wings. The best part is this release has been design for both Mixtape Massacre & Escape from Tall Oaks.

Just when you thought the excitement was over, we’re ready to unveil our latest addition to the Mixtape Massacre universe — Mixtape Massacre: Lockdown!

Lockdown is an expansion pack designed to introduce new content and mechanics for both the original Mixtape Massacre base game and Mixtape Massacre: Escape From Tall Oaks, as well as elements that can be used during cross-play between both base games. 

First, Lockdown introduces Sheriff Burton to the town of Tall Oaks. The expansion gives you the ability to play as him as one of the survivors in EFTO or make him the main adversary in the original Mixtape Massacre, as he hunts down the slashers one by one.

Not only does Lockdown introduce a new character, it arms slashers with their own Supply deck, includes new Supply cards for survivors containing traps, new weapons, and Sidetrack activators, a new new mechanic that activates “SIDETRACKS” which will trigger events reminiscent of the A-Bit of an Event cards from the Black Masque.

So as always, we know you’re asking, “What’s in the box?” Check it out with some artwork below:
